Year: 2020
Topics: Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA)
Organizer: PACE and CTEN
The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority is a powerful entity in the lives and livelihoods of CT residents and businesses, and yet most of us know very little about what it does and how it works. The CTEnergyNetwork was very honored to have PURA chairman Marissa P Gillett as our keynote speaker. Chairman Gillett has extensive background in energy storage and in greenhouse gas emission reduction programs. She has infused CT’s energy policy-making with a new vision for the ways that rates and services of Connecticut’s investor-owned electricity, natural gas, water and telecommunication companies are regulated.
The presentations were as follows:
Chairman Gillett presents PURA 101 and an Overview of Grid Modernization
PURA Director, Utility Programs and Initiatives Joshua Ryor presents on Energy Storage;
PURA Supervisor of the Clean and Affordable Energy Unit Stefanie Koehane presents on Electric Vehicles
Joshua Ryor returns to present on Innovation in the Regulatory Sandbox.
PURA speakers will discuss other dockets that are under consideration in 2020
State Representative Jonathan Steinberg moderates an open discussion, “Effective Participation in the Regulatory Process”
